Endless Day song lyrics from the Beth Orton single Conceived
The sign reads:
"Welcome to Betsy's Home
Please drive with care"
The fisherman says he's always on time
Please have faith, take care
The Lord will hear your prayer
The Lord will heed your prayer
And underneath the shade of the immortal tree
Silence only gives flesh to the roots
The seeds live on long after their fruit
The seeds live on, reaching out from their roots
Francis says "There's more stars than grains of sand"
She should know, she's held them in her hands
I hear her soul is calling
No need to ask why
No end and no beginning
An endless sky
An endless day (8x)

My review of Endless Day:
As much incredible music as she has, this is my favorite Beth song by far. The unconventional and unpredictable song structure, the absolutely beautiful dual-acoustic guitar textures, along with her eminently soulful vocals make this song resonate in my mind endlessly. Only a b-side because the mainstream could never accommodate such unorthodox structure, this might be the finest songwriting I've ever heard. ~ While it would be just as perfect even if sung in a language unknown to me - because the melody and execution is perfection - the lyrics happen to be very poetic and compelling on top of everything else. ~ Listen to the song, and listen again, and again, and again, ...
